This project involved the demolition of a large single dwelling and the construction of two sets of semi-detached houses (4 plots) on the outskirts of Cobham, backing onto a lush canopy of trees.
The project presented several complex on-site challenges, including basement construction, the site’s water table, fire brigade access, turning circles, and potential overheating issues. Through careful coordination and problem-solving, all issues were resolved efficiently, without delays or blame, ensuring smooth progress on site.

The developer, an interior designer by trade, delivered a high-end finish and furnishings across all four properties, resulting in quick sales despite the challenges of construction during COVID.
Key features of the project include a half-basement first-floor living area overlooking the garden, with full-width sliding doors to embrace sunny UK weather. Although our role was focused on technical drawings, we contributed to key external and internal elements, including the entrance steps and portico, staircase design, and garden retaining walls, ensuring every detail was executed to a high standard.

“We have been extremely happy with the design, communication and the drawing package. Both Scott and Leigh were extremely helpful and collaborative throughout the process, giving us useful insights on the technical design elements”
